Author Instructions for Camera-Ready Paper Submission

The following steps give you detailed instructions to prepare your camera-ready paper.

Final paper submission consists of six critical steps:

2. Format the final version of the paper
3. Generate Xplore-compatible PDF format paper
6. E-mail the Copyright Form to nof2016 [at] gta.ufrj.br

Failure to comply with all the required elements will lead to the removal of the paper from the technical program and the conference record.

Important notes:

1. If your paper is accepted as "Full paper" then the camera-ready version is limited to 5 double column pages (maximum of 2 additional pages allowed - 7 pages in total - with over-length page fee)
2. If your paper is accepted as "Short paper" then the camera-ready version should be reduced to 3 double column pages.

Manuscripts will be scheduled for oral or poster presentation only if at least one of the authors pays the FULL registration fee by September 30, 2016. Please also note that Network of the Future 2016 reserves the right to exclude a paper from distribution after the conference (e.g., removal from IEEE Xplore) if the paper is not presented at the conference. Also notice that the registration fees for authors are not refundable.

For each accepted paper, at least one author must register at a FULL registration rate for the conference by September 30, 2016. One full registration fee includes the publication of one paper. Additional papers of the same author -- including short papers related to posters -- will have an extra fee of 380 EUR (R$1.365,72). For other registration information, go to the Registration link Step 2: Format the final version of paper Please read the reviews and follow the reviewers' recommendations for revising your final paper. To guarantee good quality proceedings contents, your paper must comply with the Network of the Future 2016 paper specifications. 1. The MS Word template can be obtained here 2. Latex templates can be obtained here. Bibliography files can be obtained here In particular, this means: • Paper length is limited to 5 double column pages for Full papers (+up to 2 additional pages with fees) and 3 double column pages for Short (poster) papers. • Use two-columns IEEE Conference Proceedings style in a 10-point-font, US letter page • Latex users must follow the bare_conf.tex example included in the Latex template. You must also use the following command \documentclass[10pt,conference]{IEEEtran}. Moreover, use IEEEtran.bst included in the Bibliography file as reference style. (Note: with IEEE conferences, the author affiliation is listed under the author's name, unlike IEEE transactions) • PDF format only is accepted • Do NOT use page numbers, headers, or footers on your manuscript • Do NOT apply security settings to your PDF file • Do NOT include hyperlinks in the document (e.g., clickable web site addresses in the references) Copyright notice is to appear at the bottom LEFT of the FIRST PAGE according to the guidelines set forth in the Cataloging/Copyright Instructions for an IEEE Conference Proceeding: 1. If authors are employed by the US Government, the notice is: U.S. Government work not protected by U.S. copyright 2. If authors are employed by a Crown Government (UK, Canada, Australia), the notice is: 978-1-5090-4671-3/16/$31.00 ©2016 Crown
3. If authors are employed by the European Union, the notice is: 978-1-5090-4671-3/16/$31.00 ©2016 European Union 4. For all other, the notice is: 978-1-5090-4671-3/16/$31.00 ©2016 IEEE

Here an example to add an IEEE copyright notice. LaTeX users can add following lines just before \begin{document}:

\IEEEoverridecommandlockouts
\IEEEpubid{%
\hspace{\columnsep}%
\makebox[\columnwidth]{ }%
}

Print out a hard copy of the paper for final content review. Review very carefully the formatting requirements. In particular, check acknowledgments, equations, and author affiliations.

Step 3: Generate Xplore-compatible PDF format paper

IEEE is very strict about the requirements for converting application files or PostScript files to full-text PDF for inclusion in IEEE Xplore. IEEE Xplore Requirements for PDF will be enforced. All conference articles submitted for inclusion in IEEE Xplore must be in Xplore-compatible PDF format. To verify/obtain your camera-ready Xplore-compatible paper, follow the instructions below:

First-time users should do the following:

2. Enter the following:
• 39606X for the Conference ID
3. Continue to enter information as prompted

An Online confirmation will be displayed and an email confirmation will be sent verifying your account setup.

Previous users of PDF eXpress need to follow the above steps, but should enter the same password that was used for previous conferences. Verify that your contact information is valid.

After executing all steps, you will obtain an Xplore-compatible PDF that must be submitted on EasyChair

Step 4: Submit the PDF paper file on the EasyChair system

To appear in the proceedings of the conference we must have the final version of your full camera-ready paper by September 30, 2016. Your camera-ready Xplore-compatible paper must be uploaded electronically through the EasyChair system system. Please update the author names, the title, and the abstract of your paper on EasyChair as well. To upload the camera-ready version, simply replace the current PDF file in the system with the camera-ready version.
