I am an Associate Professor (Professor Adjunto) at Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ) and I hold an Electrical Engineering PhD from UFRJ. I developed a thesis on mobile sensing with fixed trajectories. The thesis received the best thesis award in the SBRC2021 thesis award and honourable mention in the Prêmio CAPES de tese. The contributions of my thesis can be found in my publications page. I was advised by Luís Henrique Maciel Kosmalski Costa and Rodrigo de Souza Couto.
In the year of 2019 I took a one year sandwich internship in Sorbonne Université, under the supervision of Anne Fladenmuller and Marcelo Dias de Amorim.
I currently teach the Digital Systems course (Sistemas Digitais - EEL480) to the engineering undergraduate students of UFRJ. The course uses active learning methodology and its videos are available here.
I offer the Internet of Things course (Internet das Coisas - CPE716). The course is part of the Electrical Engineering Program of COPPE/UFRJ. The course is also available to undergraduate students of UFRJ. The course website is available here.
I taught the Logic Circuits course (Circuitos Lógicos - EEL280) from 2022.1 to 2023.2. The course page, in Portuguese, is available here. I also taught the Operating Systems course (Sistemas Operacionais - EEL770) in the semesters of 2017.2 and 2018.1. The course page, in Portuguese, is available here.
My research interest are Internet of Things, Edge Computing and Network Optimization.
I am part of the Internship Comitee for the Computer and Information Engineering (Comissão de Estágio da Engenharia de Computação e Informação). If you need information about internship rules, check the Poli website and, after, send an email to comissaoestagio.computacao@poli.ufrj.br.
