Luciano Vargas dos Santos was born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, on February 26th, 1992. In the second semester of 2011 he started his graduation in Electronics and Computer Engineering at Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ). He joined GTA (Teleinformatics and Automation Group) in Coppe/UFRJ on February 2011 as a scientific initiation student supervised by professor Otto Carlos Muniz Bandeira Duarte.
