Virtualization

iIt s well-know that the TCP/IP model is limited in mobile, wireless, and sensor environments. In a near future, this limitation will certainly increase with the development of wireless networks with higher throughput, higher mobility, and energy-restricted nodes.

The TCP/IP model suffers with mobility and also needs a lot of energy. Thus, a new architecture is needed. This new architecture must implement smart mechanisms able to understand the context and able to adapt the network protocols to the situation. For this purpose, the virtualization can be introduced. In this area, we are looking for a new intelligent architecture adapted to virtual networking. The idea is to develop a management plane that is responsible to decide what virtual network will be used depending on the context and service requirements. This new intelligent architecture must be ease-to-deploy, scalable, secure, and resilient and also provides guaranteed QoS on demand.
