Submission Format

The submission of papers will be processed electronically. Papers must be written in English or Portuguese, and must be in Postscript (please use generic postscript) or PDF format (generated by Adobe Acrobat). Please do not send papers in the doc format used by MS Word. The paper should have no more than 16 pages, including abstract, figures, diagrams, bibliography, etc (please avoid figures in bitmap format). The page size should be A4 (29,7 by 21,0 cm), with top margin of 3,0 cm, and bottom and side margins of 2,5 cm; the text should be in 12-point Times font, disposed in a single column with no more than 45 lines.

PostScript or PDF file generation with:

1. Windows 95/98 e MS-Word

   • Use Microsoft Windows to install a PostScript printer driver 
     (Apple LaserWriter, for example).
   • Configure this PostScript printer with the following options:

     • Paper: A4
     • Graphics: Resolution: 300 dpi
     • PostScript: Optimize for portability



2. LaTeX
   
   For a better visualization and faster image construction, the use of type 1 fonts (vectorial) is recomended. Type 3 fonts (LaTeX default) are bitmap.
   
   Examples of LaTeX versions that accept type 1 fonts:

   • teTeX (UNIX) 
   • MiKTeX (Windows)
