- SpectralWave 32/16 Wavelength Division Multiplexer -

In-Line AmplifierTerminal
Outline
  • This multiplexer enables up to 32 fold (or up to 16 fold) use of a single fiber core with full utilization of the fiber bandwidth in a 1550 nm wavelength window.
  • In combination with STM-16 (2.5 Gbps) SDH transmission systems, it achieves up to an 80 Gbps (or up to a 40 Gbps) transmission capacity per fiber core.
Key Features
  • Up tp 32 (or up to 16) optical signals can be multiplexed/demultiplexed in a single optical fiber core.
  • The wavelengths conform to ITU-T G.692
  • A long transmission distance of up to 500 km is possible due to the four intermediate in-line amplifiers.
  • In-line amplifier stations can be converted to optical add/drop stations.
  • Supervisory and two orderwire circuits are provided over an independent 1510 nm wavelength for monitoring and controlling the intermediate in-line amplifiers and remote end equipment.
  • A local craft terminal (LCT) interface for local maintenance and an open systems interconnection (OSI) interface for network management systems are provided.
