Has 128 QAM (28 - 30 MHz separation) and 64 QAM (40 MHz separation) Employs forward error correction with NEC's original multi-level coded modulation (MLCM) technology A decision feedback equalizer (DFE) reducing the influence of distortions caused by multipath fading Automatic transmit power control (ATPC) preventing interference with neighboring systems Various baseband interfaces available, including STM-1 electrical or optical and 140 Mbps Wayside traffic also available--2 Mbps in addition to STM-1 Co-channel transmission by dual polarization in thesame frequency performed with a cross polarization interference canceller (XPIC) A cmpact design minimizing floor space requirements
